The Road So Far

After playing in various groups Henri Pekuri, Pertti Pekuri and Pasi Sepponen decided to record some music together. Project bands name became to be Fire Phoenix.

That name sounded good at the time as our musical endeavors almost had come to an end under challenging circumstances in our lives. We decided to go on and not to bury the musical spark. Fire Phoenix was rising from the ashes and we started to record some songs.

Henri Pekuri took the producers post and started to learn skills necessary like a madman. Since May 2017 Fire Phoenix released singles: Dirty Player, When I Look Into Your Eyes, One Last Time, Black Rain, Shooting Stars. All singles were published through Tunecore music publishing, under fictious record label Fire Phoenix Records.

Then we took little time off, but new songs started to bubble in our creative minds. Since summer 2018 Fire Phoenix has recorded new material and plans to release a full length album when everything is ready. Pasi Sepponen has been around but has not contributed to the songs on our upcoming release. Most songs are written by Pertti Pekuri and the rest by Henri Pekuri.

Recording sessions were done in a closed mold infested school in Raahe. Tracking was easy going and everything was captured during summer 2018 - autumn 2018. Mixing is going on by Henri and the sound seems to be improving compared to our first releases. Henri has made attempts to offer his mixing services at www.aormix.com but that seems to be a dead end after half a year the site being online.

We are charting our options for the right kind of publishing deal for our upcoming album. Stem.is or Distrokid seem like good choices right now. Opening a real music publishing company of our own is on consideration list too. 

Songs of Fire Phoenix will be available for streaming and purchasing in digital format on major music platforms and online stores. We hope that our songs will excite, create good vibes and bring forth emotions in our listeners.
